Default My GSR hatch

Well... I think I finally got all I can get outta the hatch on Saturday at Cecil County.

1993 Honda Civic CX
1995 Honda B18C1 1.8L DOHC VTEC

Setup:
-AEM short ram intake
-A'PEXi World Sport 2.33" exhaust
-Action 6-puck sprung clutch
-20" MT slicks
-P72 ecu (untuned)
-Tokico Blue struts and Ground Control coilovers

-Passenger and rear seats removed
-Spare tire removed
-Had about 1.5 - 2 gallons of fuel (93 octane)
-GSR catalytic converter and O2 sensor

The first timeslip has very light print but...

Car #27

.190
1.851
5.481
8.518
81.75
11.162
13.407
101.58

Car #427 in the first timeslip (right lane) was D-Rob with his LS/VTEC EK coupe which eventually went 13.17. Caught him sleeping at the tree, though.

Also went 14.12 and 14.13 on my 175 all-season steelies. And 14.39 and 13.86 on a friend's set of Falken Azenis.

But there you go. A virtually stock GSR EG hatch. Time to put the Blox manifold on and get a tune. Hopefully get some ITR cams as well. I was pretty happy to finally hit 13s.

Get some 22x8x13's and launch the car off of the limiter. There's 2/10's left in that car at least. Nice times either way though for such a simple and streetable setup

I'd imagine that's his launch RPM.

LOL... nah. I was shifting at 8000 damn near every gear I think. The rpm on the slip was the launch rpm. The 13.40 was the first run of the day and I just didn't know what to change from the first run to go quicker. So I just took one more pass on slicks and then just unbolted them for another guy to use.

You probably saw my car, Dragline. It was the blue EG hatch.

The car dynoed 157 whp though. So no... not boosted. LOL. Not yet anyway.

I see you beat me to the timeslip picture posts!

Honda Bull raced me on his 13.40 run. He called the night before that he would smoke me the first pass, and indeed, he did!

Did you see my thread, Shaun? I'm gonna post up some slips and pics of the cars when I get my camera back.

BTW, Dragline, I was the one with the black EK coupe running the bronze Lenso's. (They're Honda Bull's slicks!)

That 'banana' CRX was f-in' fast, man.

Not bad. I have a 92 CX w/ USDM B18C1 w/ exhaust and just ran it for the first time over the weekend. Went 14.2 @ 98mph w/ 2.28 60' on 195 street tires.

Got an AEM SRI, King Motorsports worked throttlebody, AEBS intake manifold, B&M FPR, Kenji chipped P28. Plan on installing all of this by the H-T meet @ Capitol on April 7th. Hopefully get some drag radials or 22x8x15's by then and shooting for similar times.

Full teg suspension and brakes on the car. Anyone able to fit 22x8x13's over them? Or am I stuck with 22x8x15's?

those are some pretty impressive times. I was only able to hit a 13.9 in a stock gsr hatch. I was on 20" slicks also with a 1.96 60ft. I guess i need to work on my launches, haha. Ill try dropping my tire pressure to 12psi. I had them at about 15-16psi

Yeah... drop the tire pressure a bit. This track is definately a fast track, though. I won't lie.

Is Cecil County near Crapitol? I wouldn't mind running there one time.

Do you guys ever go down on Friday nights? I go down there all the time. My car probably has about 90-100 track passes on it. If you do look for the dirtiest, paint peelin, black ek hatch you can find....that's me!

Very nice time. I recently went to the track and was able to pull a 13.9 @98 with a 2.1 60ft. on azenis. All w/o the help of vtec or a short gear tranny.

90' DA
b20b, still 8.8 comp. pistons
LS P&P head, milled .030
crower 403's
skank2 i/m, DC ITR header
crappy apexi SAFC for tunning
LS tranny WOOT WOOT

Hope to closing in on 12's with some slicks, rage header, ys1 gsr tranny, Fal rear window kit, DA's rear window weighs a butt load.

Never gone to Capitol. So I don't know what I'd run there. But the 13" wheels should clear the Integra brakes. No room for wheel weights though. We've run my slicks (13" Lensos with 22" M&Hs - were on D-Rob's coupe) on his shop's drag CRX which has LS integra brakes and they fit once we pulled the wheel weights off.

Good luck. Let me know how you do. Maybe we'll try and come down or something.

Not actually sure where Capitol is. Never been there. I'd like to hit up MIR though.

Nah. We've only been to Cecil a handful of times (I think I've been there 3 times for a Wednesday night and two Saturdays). What do you usually run?

I can dig the DA. Get all that and you should be damn close to 12s.

Good to know. I'd like to run Lenso's w/ 22x8x13's.

Last year I was consistently around 14.1. This year 13.9 seems to be average at 100mph or so. Only mod since is an exedy 9 lb flywheel. Right now I'm running a cat and crappy exhaust. That's about to change in the next two weeks. I'm going catless and getting a buddy club spec 3 exhaust. Hopefully with that it'll knock a tenth or two off. I'm on all season 195 tires right now so the best 60' I can pull is a mid 2.1 running 23 lbs of air.

LOL. I was too lazy to air the 175 all seasons down. So they had probably 35 psi or so. I had like 2.38 60's on them this time. I think a 2.33 back in November.
