Default few finished pics of my turbo setup, built this winter

built d16a6, and i built the whole turbo setup/exhaust/crossmembers this winter also. having lots of fun with it! my buddy paul (pbomers) took the shots (also posted on ef-honda, and more in the apperance forum), thanks paul.

my brother helped me finish weld everything, and gave me motivation to finish it correctly(thanks jerm). splitime helped me tune it (not quite done with the partial throttle).

new turbo goes on soon (hybrid t3t4 i'm building out of parts)

i think i might marry that deltagate.

maybe..

its ok, creeps a BIT, but not like it did on my old setup (drag manifold)

i have 2 of them...i'd like to trade them for a tial 38mm...or sell them individually..we'll see.

a tial will be inthere when i swap turbo's.

gotcha and i remember seeing that the turbo goes directly into the intercooler correct? thats pretty badass good stuff, was the manifold designed to do just that?

thanks man! i appreciate the comment.

i was pissed off at the tune today (and didnt have time to mess with it)

partial throttle is a bit rough still (bucking a bit in a few areas), and it was tough to drive around town, in traffic. having some positive comments makes me motivated to get it perfect! (need your help splitime! haha)

yeah, just a street tune, (there are some DESOLATE highways south of chicago, and some safe frontage roads)

tuned with turboedit, running big ole' 720cc nippon-denso DSM-style injectors, with an innovate LM1

probably going to sell them eventually, and switch to something like 650-ish.. we'll see.

i'm going to be beta-testing some injectors for deatsch werks, out of oklahoma. we'll see what sizes they came up with..we just sent them 15 high-impedence injectors (honda) for them to modify.

off the shelf, but i modified it. added honda-sized outlets to it (they were HUGE), and welded a bung for my autometer temp gauge.

just dyno'd, (not tuning just dyno day)

254 whp, 297 wtq!

happy with the torque, bit bummed about hp.

lots of boost, TONS of timing pulled, no cam tuning, and a small turbo..and its rich/conservative

better head is going on sometime this year, bigger turbo is sitting around, and TUNING will help. still fun as all hell to drive! haha

****, nice torque! hehe.

nice setup, wish the intercooler core was a little longer, looks weird that small.

how much boost were you at when you made those numbers??

i'm sure it'll be a helluvalot nicer with the hybrid t3/t4 you're putting on. any specs on that btw??

OVERALL.... nice freakin' build

Im pretty sure he made it himself. Setup looks efficient for yourself and has a vintage touch.

yup, 20 psi...pulling .7 degree's of timing per lbs/boost (way too much with the low compression, but its safe as heck)

it ripped the rear tranny mount off the trans case too... plenty of torque. spins the tires at 70 in 3rd when you roll into power.

yeah, its built myself. fully cleaned/ported, etc, and with that tiny wastegate it creeps nicely (tuned for it).. rolls from 18 to 22 from about 5k-7k. i love it.
