Default valve cover

i just repainted the valve cover of my d16y7, i painted it black and taped off the letters of HONDA and now want to repaint them silver, before i wasted about 2 hours trying to tape this up does anyone know of a stencil that allows me to only paint the letters?

you did it backwards, you need to paint the silver first, then when it dries you tape the letters off and paint the rest, so when you remove the tape the letters are painted, then you clear it

Or just sand the paint off the letters then add a clear coat
it will look better than silver paint

Just take some sandpaper to the letter and polish them, it'll look better than silver. Clearcoat it after you're done.

or instead of wasteing your time and effort. use chap stick or chassis grease, and rub it on the letters, whipe around the letters so that the paint will ahear around the letter. Then let the paint dry and use a razor blade and scrape the paint off and whip the grease/or chap stick away.

lot less painfull
