For $800AUS (US$580) nothing you could buy is going to give serious power gains....for serious power gains you'd need to add a '0' to the end of that Get an exhaust and up your budget and get a header (extractor) and get your car on a dyno and use your vtec/air/fuel controller to have it set up properly.

Blasphemy!!!! I'd give my right nut if I could find a way to get my hands on Castlemaine XXXX here in the states. That's my favorite beer, period!

P.s. Sorry to get off topic, but finding XXXX has been something of a life quest for me.

None. Serious power is about the right combination of parts.

Get a fresh set of brake pads and fluid, then head to a few track days. Mod yourself into a better driver, then worry about the ITR later...

Oh, and throw away that vtec controller. Those things are damn near useless with the OBD-II ecu your R has.

Brake Pads = $100 USD
Brake Fluid = $15 USD
Vinyl Magnetic Numbers = $30 USD
Track Club Membership = $50 USD

Meeting experienced drivers who can help you learn your car = $priceless

Go get some experience driving the car, with whatever reputable clubs there might be over there. Learning techniques from people who are advanced drivers is worth more than adding 5-8whp from a header.

If you really want to get parts to make you go faster in a straight line, go with a K&N drop-in filter, and some type of used header.

Agreed

Invest in the driver and seat time. "Serious Power" mods usually cost Serious Money when done correctly.

Not together, for $800? Regardless, neither are "serious power" as he originally stated. But what really is for that kind of money, Nitrous for the straight line runs?
