has anyone ever installed aftermarket speakers on their new civic? do you have to cut the door to get the speakers to fit?

 

For the best fitment.. put in 5 1/4 speakers. For best sound, put in 6 1/2.. but you'll have to cut your door.

 

There aren't any replacements that actually fit without modification?

 

well i cut the back deck all up now, i am about to attempt the fronts, what a pain in the ***.

well, finnished up the install in my friends civic. had to cut the rear deck and front doors. what a poor design, if you are going to make the holes so that you cant replace them without aftermarket speakers, throw some better stock units in there.
