Do i need anything else?
i'm planning to drop my ride using ground controls and koni yellows. inorder to go through with this, would i need to purchase any other minor parts? i dont' want to order everything and be excited just to find that i need to buy other parts.
You won't need a camber kit. Just get that alignment to zero out the toe. This will save your tires in the long run...
A very important step after lowering that is often overlooked is "reseting all your suspension bushings". This relieves the twist in the bushings that will occour once you set the car back on the ground. It helps prolong the life of your suspension bushings greatly...
1. jack front of car up & place on jack-stands
2. place jack underneath one LCA
3. jack up LCA until car barely lifts off nearest jack-stand
4. loosen all bolts in that corner of the suspension that go through the center of a bushing
5. torque all bolts back down to their specific value listed in factory service manual
6. lower LCA down & move jack to other side
7. repeat steps 3-5 on other side
8. move to rear of car & repeat steps 1-7 & your done.
Do this before you get an alignment otherwise you will have to get another one...
One more tip: use anti-sieze goo on all your rear LCA bolts (threaded & non-threaded portions). The non-threaded parts of those bolts tend to rust solid to the inside of the bushings making them impossible to remove w/o cutting (as mentioned before). If you break a bolt head off (as I did), your going to have a hell of a time finding someone to help you cut it off & fix it. A good Honda mechanic should know exactly what to do if this happens (it is VERY common)...
