Default finished swap. LOUD, vibrating. hasport, shifter loose, (lots of q's?)

ok imma try to make this short.
i had some expletive swap my d series out of my del sol for a jdm B16A with jdm gsr tranny. he didnt know what he was doing. he used 2 out of three bolts on the driver side mount going into the block. and he used my D series bolts. he left alot of bolts loose. and didnt re-check anything. so stuff was falling off left and right. my motor fell out on the free way. the driver side mount came all the way out. and my headers hit the ground.

now. i just got it all fixed by epic motors in wilmington CA. and everything is done right. however. when i started my car and drove off. it was REALLY LOUD in my "cockpit". it sounded like i was runnin an open header. but on the outside it wasnt that loud. but still louder than usual. so is it becuase i now have hasport mounts? and since they are stiff as hell it is making everything on my car vibrate? also. is a b series with vtec really THAT much louder than a single cam NON vtec?

second. my shifter....... the guy that initially did my swap pulled out my skunk2 short shifter and put it back in facing the wrong way. NOW. when i am in gear i can move it back and forth (left and right) as if im in neutral. as far as my mechanic told me. there is a kind of spacer/bushing on each side of the bearings. and he said i need to get them from SKUNK2. now is that the reason i have so much play while im in gear? and if it is... cant i put some washers on each side of the bearings?

i think this is the extent of my questions right now. im sure ill think of more. and update this post. so if anyone wants to give me some advice of any sort as to pertains to a new swap. please please please inform me ASAP! thanks!

Hasport mounts are very stiff and make everything vibrate alot , but theres less engine movement so deal with it! As far as the short shifter goes, you don't have to go to skunk, just get some o rings or grommets, any type of rubber spacer that fits will work. This is not a big deal at all but it will cause alot of play in your shifter, i hope that helps.

Hey bro, I swapped saome hasports into my ef once, I got the same result loud obnoxious vibrating inside the car. I checked everything and I noticed that on the driver side mount towards the front of the car, the bottom part of the mount where the insert ends was making contact with the mount ear. I took it off and grinded a small portion of it, enough for it to clear. Put it back on and sound was gone. I know its a different car but just give it a shot u might solve your problem

dunno if its too late for an answer here, but i recently just put a short shifter in my integra. i did the same thing you did, I initially put the shifter in backwards and had the exact same problem: the shifter moved back and forth like it was in neutral even while it was in gear! just take that sucker out and turn it around and put it back in and you will be fine, there won't be nearly as much play...

Stock integra mounts would be best if you don't want any vibration. That what I use. But when I'm going to the track I put my ES mount inserts in, and man that **** vibrates.

Wurd to the hasport mounts. I sport those and man as if the interior noise wasn't rough enough as it is in a delsol... EVERYTHING shakes. no really. everything.

as for the shifter new bushings (from the dealer if you will) would more than likely do you some good. worked for me and my noname short shifter

On that one I would try balancing your wheels and getting an alignment.
