Default timing belt loose

when my car is just idling the exhaust side of the timing belt wobbles...ive been told that this could be causing my valves clicking on start up...so is it true that a loose timing belt can cause ticking valves?

I highly doubt your timing belt has anythign to do with 'valve clicking'

if your timing belt was loose enough to slip your timing would be way off and the car would run like crap....

Tighten your timing belt and do a valve job when your valve cover's off.

Depends on how much of this "wobble" is going on. The t-belt makes a straight run from the exhaust cam gear all the way down to the crank sprocket, so it's going to wobble/vibrate a little bit on that long unsupported distance, no matter what you do.

I'm guessing you drive your car around with no timing belt covers? Hope you don't plan on keeping that belt on there for too long.

I think he means tighten your timing belt and adjust your valve clearances. Or is there some way to perform a valve job now without pulling the head off?
