lol, it happend to me a couple times...basically that little plastic peice screws onto a stud...if you put that plastic peice back in half way or so, wiggle it around until you feel the stud, then screw it back on!

hmm i think i have any easy solution.. not sure if itll work but here it goes. put a layer of gorilla glue on the tip of the old broken top. while its still wet push it down onto the broken piece in side. hold it on there for like 5 min. then let it sit for like a day so its fully hardened. after that try just pulling it up.

i dunno if thats gunna work its just an easy solution i thought of

or get one of those magnetic tips and fish around the little hole for that stud...once you have it, try to set it in a position that all you have to do is screw that **** back on

ill take a nother picture later. But when the little **** is in the hole. IT GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN. its not held up by anything , so it doesnt seem to be a bolt or screw in there.

like i mentioned, you need to get a magnetic tip or something and fish around inside the hole until you get ahold of the stud. That's how mine was too when i saw it...it sank all the way down and there was nothing there....so, I got a flash light and a magnetic tip and found the little stud where the little plastic thing is supposed to screw on to.

I had one of these break in half on me. I managed to unscrew the piece that was still inside, and replaced it with a new one.

The plastic ****'s shaft is threaded on the inside, and mates with a threaded rod inside the seat. If you don't see a threaded rod in the hole (it's pretty deep in there), maybe it fell to the side, but it's in there somewhere. Pulling on this rod unlatches the seat.

Worst case, you might have to take apart the seat to get to the rod. I imagine you'd do this by removing the carpet on the back.
