How do you remove the rear seat on a 95 prelude Vtec
Ok, did a search here and on web and cant figure out how to pull the rear seat. I am replacing a cd changer and cant get the wire out, it is going under the rear seat. It is a 95 Prelude Vtec

The lower sections of the seat are pretty easy to take out.
There are two clips under the front of each seat. if you find the clips you pull out on them. sometimes they are a little hard to pull out. if you push down on the seat then pull out the clip the seats will pop right out.

Thanks so much, I just figured that out, how frustrating it was. I messed with that thing for 30 min. Was afraid of those clips until I got the plyers to them, poped right out. Thanks

What about the top part of the seats?

there are 10mm bolts that you need to remove....theres i think 2 on the driver side, and 2 on the passanger side...

woot! there's now a giant hole from the cabin back into the trunk!
behind the back seats there's some cross bracing...anyone know if it's needed to prevent body flex? i'm sure it doesn't weigh much, but with a 2800 lb car stock, any little bit helps.

I don't think it does much considering it's thin and bolted in, but if you don't have to remove it don't. The rear shelf is welded in and it probably would have more negative effect (than the brace) if it was taken out.
