Default Supecharged lapping day car reliability

I posted this in the RR/ AutoX forum so I hope its ok to re post it over here but I know more guys over here will be running the setup I plan on using its just how many of you have tracked them I am wondering. I did some searching and found some answers but wanted some more opinions, I have been doing HPDE's for about 3 years now and am looking for some more power. As some of you know I have an imported CTR and just installed a Spoon 1.8 liter kit(not looking for flames on that I got a good deal) But I am thinking I want to go with a JR Supercharger, The car is nearly a dedicated track car at this point and I have a good tuner and hondata s200 but would change if needed. Just looking for opinions and suggestions on this setup and motor basically an ITR motor in a road course enviroment. All opinions welcome. Anyone out there doing this with success?? I am sure heat is going to be my biggest enemy especially living in Arizona. Please dont flame me too hard and I really dont want to hear keep the Type-R N/A the way it was intended. Thanks for all input. looking for 230 to the wheels does that seem like a realistic reliable goal?? Thanks for the help and input either way in advance.

As long as you keep your intake charge temps under control you should be fine at 230hp. Buy an oil temp gauge and use it. You might need an aftermarket oil cooler.

OT: BUY MY CAR BRAD!!!!

Any car with forced induction loses its reliability. yes you can spend thousands on the block and make it bullet proof? I guess thats and understatement since nothing is bullet proof.

But I would keep it NA. If your serious then bore it out to a 2.0, raise the compression or might just consider a different headgasket, put some aggressive cams in, along with some ITBS. You will be close to 230 if not more. the s200 should still work as well..

Im drunk getting ready to go out so dont take my info to littereally...But this na vs boost has been covered many times. Just doing a little searching....Also compare how many issues there are with na engines compared to boost. I had a boosted talon, i was always fixing it and it was just stock. I had a boosted honda, i was always fixing it... My type r, which is na im never fixing it

I haven't seen too many S/C (or FI of any kind) Hondas at the track that ran reliably. ED/Zygspeed had a nasty turbo'd ITR a few years ago but his engine temps were positively evil.

A guy named "RBoosted717" had a supercharged ITR a few years ago, and had about 225whp. But that only came after a ton of time on the dyno, and I don't even want to imagine how much money he spent on it. To me, it didn't seem worth the trouble.

Once again I stated I was not looking for the Go N/A Statement because I am not. It looks like the supercharger is going on I will let you al know how it goes good or bad, No corners are going to be cut in this build

i think that ifyou got an aftermarket big oil cooler, big *** radiator, and an intercooler with your setup it should be better. not quite as good as N/A, but better.
