well..ive had this valve clicking issue for a while now...ive done an adjustment myself and professionally..and still clicking..the noise goes away for the most part when the car is warmed up COMPLETELY...also...my exhaust hick ups at idle...and each time it does..the motor jerks slightly...(rear mount is bad, so that might be it) also..i hear backfire each time i shift...sometimes its loud..sometimes not..the car doesnt seem to have any loss in power..what do you guys think?
This might not be valvetrain related... you may have some piston slap. This is an excessive piston to side wall clearance that before the engine warms up and expands to fill the gap makes a slapping or tapping noise. If so its not a problem.
If you had a bent valve you would feel an insane amount of power loss. Your lifters could be shot you should check em out, and you may be misfiring if your car is jerking when it hick ups.
