Default How low does your WS hang?

Just put my new Apexi WS on and it hangs SUPER low. There is < 1" of clearence from the bottom of the pipe to the road. Is this normal? I bought it used and the seller said that it been modified so that it wouldnt hang so low but it seems like it hangs lower then when unmodified. How can I fix it without going to the muffler man? Can you post pics of what your WS looks like on your car and how much clearence it has? BTW, this is on a 5th gen.

1" to the ground? You gotta be lowered. I'm dropped an inch on my 4th gen and still had about 2-2.5" atleast. I still scrapped it every once inawhile so I ghetto fixed it with some hose clamps that I tightened around the mounts, got another .5"-.75" from that. I don't scrap anymore with that...

Does it really hang that much lower on a 5th gen?

Lol no, I was actually going to use heavy duty zip ties, but I couldn't find any and had a bunch of extra clamps lying around... but basically this is what I did:

Put the car on stands so I could get under it.
Jacked up the muffler about an inch
Put a clamp around the hanger on the muffler and the connecting point right next to the rubber hanger already there.
Tightened up the clamp with a screwdriver
Dropped the jack, moved to the next hanger and did the same thing.

It was pretty easy, and it would have been even easier with zip ties. And if anything ever breaks, which I doubt, the stock hangers are still there just in case...

Ya mine doesnt even tuck up into the heatshield area. It actually hangs down lower than the exhaust path under the car. WTF
