Default My Mini Me results

So i did a mini me about 2 months ago and finally got to go to the track last weekend. on the dyno i put down a whopping 110 whp tuned. i ran a 16.04 at 83 mph. this was my first time ever on a track. Is 16.0 a reasonable time for a mini me?

go back and practice and get some better tires and you can hit the high 15's

Major question is did you stay obd0 or convert to obd1 ? I personally think it should be running faster, most crx si's with intake header exhaust are running those times. But a lot of things come into play. It may have a lot to do with your driving skill. Post up your slips

i think those times are quite bad, i ran with my 90 si (hatch) with a stock d16a6 a 16.1 only mods are a cai, its got stock exhaust so you should be running much faster

yeah you should take a little more time to post something like this. give us at least the following:

engine(shortblock, head)
ECU(obd1-2, p28, etc)
Tranny
Car and model(hx,dx,si,etc)
all mods
ignition timing

if you can

temp at track, elevation, traction conditions, burnout? drive around water box? etc etc

give us some detail in your original topic next time so we don't have to play Q&A so much to get to where we should have started from.

ummm ill do a quick reply here

A6/Z6 mini me z6 head milled
Si intake manifold
DC sports intake
invidia exhaust
megan test pipe
p28 ecu tuned
of course obd 1 conversion
Si cable tranny
cf hood whatever full interior
tenzo R coil overs
generic camber kit
and car is a 91 Si
i just put inserts in and car seems more responsive specially since both torque mounts are completely ripped to hell and i wheel hop like crazy

oh ya i could only launch at 2k since my mounts were so tore up and i would just wheel hop all the way to redline. i also shift at about 7200

and after all that gibberish i ran a flat 15 probably could be faster if i had the mount inserts and was able to launch at a higher RPM

and final note...most CRX/CIVIC Si run a 15.5 with just bolt ons. my friends did cept now he is turbo

ha people still dont konw that reaction time has nothing to do with 1/4 mile...you could take a nap for 10 mins reaction time and still run whatever it is you are running.

for real....

when im out at the test and tune, if there is no car next to me..... i wait until i'm ready. working on my 60ft. and launch.

only if someone is there next to me, i work on my reactions, because if i leave first, you gotta catch me before the end of the traps. better hope you got a faster car.

alrite so this is my set up

91 crx si
stock A6 bottom, jdm d15b vtec head
obd0 PW0 Ecu tuned on BRE
Stock tranny
AEM short ram, obx header , stock 1-incher exhaust.

i couldnt drive around the water box since the whole area was wet. it was around 50 degrees at the track. NJ track is sea level. track was pretty shitty b/c someone spilled oil all down the track.

i think 16.0 is too slow for my set up. Hopefully all this info helps

"lose your race and you will lose your ride" hahaha that show is lame. nap for ten minutes, watch three other people run before you decide to leave the light, and get humiliated.

ok given that info id say your car may be faster than it showed that day. first, if you have to drive through the water box make sure you do a decent burnout to get all the water off the tires. second, if there was oil on the track this could easily affect your 60ft times which has a large impact on your final et.

also 50 deg out is nice for the engine, but bad for traction. this also hurts your 60 and et.

your exhaust is also killing you, too much back pressure and you will run into problems in the higher rpm range where the new head and vtec likes to be.

id say get some more runs in, you should be able to cut down those times.
