Hey i have the Delta cams 272 duration 205 @0.050 supposedly .371 lift but
there lil spec card said .446 net valvelift. But anyways my reason for posting is
that im having issues with idling the engine with these cams. Well when i first got
them installed i went to start it and it would start up then die. I had to keep my
foot on the gas to keep the revs up until it warmed and then once it was warm the
idles were very low then eventually stalled. I did pull fuel from the idle rpms so it
shouldn't be too rich. I drilled out the fast idle screw hole to allow more air that
seemed to help. But i cant seem to get it in the middle its either too high and
starts surging or its too low and wants to stall out. It will change with temperature
because i could set it perfectly how i want it on a cold day but then the next day
it will get hot and muggy and the car will not idle when the engine is cold but when
it warms it will idle low. I got these cams thinking they were very mild but
comparing them to crowers specs they are some hard core cams alot more than i
was expecting. Could the problem be im not running a Hondata or Crome? Im
just using the basic SAFC. Any experiences would be great.
