Hello Honda folks,

I've got a '92 Accord LX which is driving me insane. It works fine and I love it except for one thing: There is this anoying beep that happens often when I trun off the ignition, remove the key, and open the driver's side door. Its not the "your lights are on dummy" ding, its a "beep, beep, beep...." It only happens when the door is open. It will turn off when I shut the door.

And some times it just goes away. Any ideas?

 

My radio (Pioneer) beeps 3 times to remind me to remove the face plate.

Not exactly sure when it does it though. I want to say it does it when I remove the key from the ignition and the face plate is still on the radio.

 

Thanks, but my car is 100% stock, including radio etc.

Its definately some kind of alarm, warning etc. If I left the door open, it would definately continue beeping for days.

 

Turn your lights off!! lol. Do you have an actual alarm on the car?

 

Sounds like the car thinks the key is still in the ignition to me. (Don't know the technical terms...)
