Noob... thought i'd finally say hi and introduce my EK9
Been floating around the forums for over a yr now, but never posted... lol. So thought it was time i introduced myself...
Anyway, i'm from Melbourne, Australia... home of the Commonwealth Games (haha, half of u prob didn't even know it was on now) and luckily got me a 98 Civic Type R. Yeah, they're just as rare down here as they are over there... we have tough import laws here.
Besides the standard CTR parts, it's pretty stock besides a cf bonnet, exhaust and intake.
Well that's it for now, as soon as i locate a decnt pic i'll post it up. Until then, feel free to ask me anything ya wish

Hah I did know the games were on, but I am a from bris-vegas so
How did you get around the 15year import rule? Importing a '98 cant have been easy!
Also, have you have the hood engineered? I didnt think the CF bonnets were legal.

Nah, didn't get around 15yr rule... 15yr rules only applies to cars before 1991! My car was in the country already, i was just lucky enough to be looking for an EK4/EM1 when this beauty popped up... and the rest is history
Nah, the bonnet isn't engineered... half cf, half fibreglass. Laws are iffy here in Vic, no one's 100% sure... but seems like full cf is illegal but fibreglass/cf is legal. But in the end it comes down to the cop who pulls u over... if they don't like u, they get u for anything
