whats is the law out here in cali with modded exhaust systems i have an invidia with silencer is that considered illegal and am i able to get busted

 

Everything is illegal out here... Best bet, run a stock exhaust. you can have all the mods in the world under the hood, but with the stock exhaust, they have no reason to ask to see it

 

You'll get pulled over, but as long as it's not over 95db (I think thats the magic number) then it's not illegal. If you get pulled over for modified exhaust you can go to the ref and they'll test it. If it's under the legal limit they'll put a sticker stating it is legal. The next time you're pulled over you just show them the sticker... no more modified exhaust tickets after that.

 

yeah, its 94-95... but i hear its at 2.5 or was it 4.5k....
