Looking for colors that 'mimic' carbon fiber
Getting my car resprayed and I have a CF hood, I would like to do the hood and hatch trim in a color that mimics CF as much as possible. The color I was thinking about is this phantom gray pearl from the EH2's...then tossing in just a bit of silver and bronze metallic....but not too much. Here is the base phantom gray, LMK if you guys can think of anything closer.

It will look mismatched... Only color i think works is Black. Like a Two-tone thing, Black hood/roof.

Oddly enough my paint guy was talking about doing a carbon "look" paint where they can airbrush in the weave.....unfortunately I had to say "no thanks."

Just a plain black is too dark imho opinion...seems to me like carbon usually has a silvery metallic look, and when the light hits it directly, almost a brown/bronze hint to it.

Unfortunately it is now totalled
The kid he sold it to had it parked on the road, and some drunk ******** hit it so hard that it flipped up onto its roof, completely destroyed.

Superior Blue Metallic. Wheels will be black w/ a polished center.
You can head over to this thread to check out some photos of the car at the body shop.

phantom grey resembles it; black would be too much
is it going to be fully opaque, like you cant see carbon underneath?
i dunno about this one. Try it, it could look good i guess

Well, the hood is going to be the standard Vis. The roof and the TIIIINY tail section would be done in the phantom grey pearl....it would kind of give it that black center theme. I just don't like the idea of a bare CF hood with the rest of the car blue.
