i bought the trim that goes around the windshield, the kind you can put in without taking out the glass, my question is what kind of sealent do i use when i put this in, also is there anything special i need to know. im going to look at a helms manual over the weekend. btw i searched

 

any paint supply store will have what you need. Its called windshield buettle (sp)

 

beat me to it, i work for an auto glass place here and do quite a few installs

altho if its the kind you dont have to take the windshield out to put in, then you shouldnt need anything, if its the one im thinking, it has ridges that catch the windshield and push up aginst the roof and hold it in place, very simple

Yep, be real careful taking yours out. They break very easy

Where can I buy the trim online? I need trim made to install without replacing the windshield, right? I can't afford a new windshield right now, I just need to get the damned trim back in

I was trying to pull my trim up on one edge and slipped and hit the edge of the glass and chipped it, and now I have a small crack at the top of my windshield. Christ, I'm such a dumbass sometimes.
