OBD1/OBD2 Mixmatch!?!??!
im building an lsvtec. i was gonna do all OBD2, use my civic engine harness (vtec), and obd1 ECU w/ conversion harness, and thats that.
BUT
i may get a deal on a obd1 GSR head. if i were to use that with my OBD2 block, what would i run into? or would i just use my civic engine harness (from obd1) and obd1 ECU and thats it? or is anything special required? thanks!

will be using a p28 obd1 ecu from phearable.net</TD></TR></TABLE>
You were putting this into an OBDI car and you were going to try to make it OBD2?
You're over-complicating. Use an OBD1 engine harness and a OBD1 ECU. There will be one plug you will not use, which will be near the crank pully.

i was going to use an OBD2 setup (head and block) With the OBD1 p28 ecu, and the conversion harness - basic setup
what i was saying is, if i use and OBD1 gsr head instead of OBD2, what will be different besides not needing the conversion harness...?
