I want to buy the type r (si) lip kit for both front and rear. i already have the side skirts on. the problem is my rear bumper has the curve near the muffler area. so if i bought the lip set the hole won't be closed. do i need a different bumper? my current one has holes along the bottom for a lip to fit in place.

The rear lip you want has the exhaust cutout in it too y0

Looks like the 00 oem rear to me.

but i don't understand. the lip is like an extension of the bumper. so what happens to the exhaust hole/curve, does the lip fill it in on the rear bumper? i know that the type r has one on its bottom part of the lip. so confused.

you just want the knockoff type-r rear lip right?

check this out...this is it on a 99-00 oem rear bumper...it forms right around the exhaust cutout for a smooth fit.. (not my ride, one of the crew members )

 

here's another pic..not a type r lip but it shows how the exhaust lips opens/ clears for the muffler
