Default Brakes

Well I am sure this has been asked 1.2 billion times, but I would like your knowledge on this.

I am bout to get new brakes installed, and I want to put on some aftermarket pads. Any suggestion as to what would be better than OEm for everyday driving" "ABC Greenstuff, Axis Mestal Masters"?

Any help would be appreciated. I also will be changing the brakes lines to SS. Anyone got advice/brand that you reccomend?

Thanks...

personally, unless you have a fast car or aftermarket rotors, i don't think it would be necessary. if you want my choice, i hear AEM makes some awesome pads. always go ceramic.

since youjust have a dialy driver. I don't reccomend going aftermarket. If you live in a mountany area or race at all then it would be worth while but otherwise it's best to stick with Honda pads.

Yep but if you really want an increase in brake feel....Some pads and aftermarket brake lines will help. But as MoogoCow3 said if your not racing it a lot then there is no point i nspending the extra money. BTW its EBC not ABC.

If you want to brake better on non-track conditions:
Get better pads.
Get better tires.

There is nothing wrong with OEM pads or Akebono Cermamic compounds. If you can lock up the tires easily with shitty pads, no pad choice is gonna help you on the street. You need better tires.

I think unless your going with bigger rotors, and calipers the Honda pads are about as good as it gets. The cheap ones sqeeeeek.

honda pads? really? i beg to differ.

Axxis ultimate is very very good, just as quiet as oem, great first bite and great fade resistance.

the only downside is the dust, it's everywhere..everywhere

Oh, you must be one of those guys with the black front wheels. Honda pads = very little dust, no squeaking, and they stop the car. Three out of three. I'll stick with them.

I think Honda pads are polar opposite to German pads (ie: MERCEDES) When I had my 190E I was cleaning the wheels once a week with wheel acid and I still couldn't get it all off!

Sounds Great I will continue to use OEM Honda Brakes.

Now how about the Stainless Braided brake Line wires? Should I stick with stock rubber or get the better pedal feel and go with SB lines?

Thanks again for the help!
