A&J Racing's project FG Coupe
This is the Project FG Coupe (new civic) by A&J Racing, this car is fully sponsored by AJR and J's Racing and will be competeting in different time attack events this coming season across N. America.
I got to take the car out for a spin today and snapped a few pics while I'm at it. Thought I'd share.
I'll post the completely mod list once I get it from Ben at AJR.

and how much functionality does a huge *** wing like that provide on a FWD car?
i like what they've done... kinda/sorta .. what rims are on there? well i guess you'll post that when you get the mods list lol
finally an ASM FG coupe with bronze rim, always wonder how that would look...

The Si wont be making "high speed turns" now if it was going around a turn at like 100+ mph then the wing would actually make a difference
that wing gives import owners a bad name

Umm, these guys actually go to the track.
Aerodynamics is functional regardless of which end of the car the drive wheels are on.
Maybe you guys should go read up on it some time.
Or maybe you're both right, and I guess all the teams racing FWDs in SCCA World Challenge TC should take their rear wing spoilers off and crash because they "give import owners a bad name."
It may be hideous, but you can't argue that it's not functional.

damn, settle down.. i asked a question... not a comment.. did you catch the question mark at the end of my QUESTION? (<-- there goes another one)
btw, i think the rims (someone correct me if i'm wrong) are WED SA-70s? and 17's or 18's?
and I KNOW IT IS A TRACKED CAR (i think its only obvious) but if those are 18's, for track, wouldn't 17's be more optimal? (again, another question not statement) again, i'm still not sure if they are 17 or 18s, almost look like 18s though

Whats up with the mods list mayne!?!?!?!? I'm dying to know the rest.. i'm jokin this FG2 right here
also - since it's obvious car will be tracked.. i'm hoping you'll have an answer for this:
What is the weight difference between the OEM hood/trunk vs the CF hood/truck?
Know what i mean, how much the stock one weighs? then how much the CF one weighs... etc. . I'm dying to know
And where to get that front lip

carbon fiber hood looks great (probably seibon) and as for the rest of the car, looking at pictures are fine, and i'm sure the mods help it out at the track, but i wouldn't put the lip or wing on my car personally....but once again, gotta love the carbon fiber hood

I am not a great fan of carbon parts but inorder to stay competitive with the stock engine, light weighting the car is the route.

If they're building it specifically for time trial events, they're not going to care too much what it looks like.
Most time trial events will bump you up a number of classes for the modifications you have. The punishment for engine and suspension improvements is usually heavier that aerodynamics (at least, that's how it is in NASA).
Moreover, since many time trial events will have top speeds in the 120-150 mph range, the aerodynamics are of real use, regardless of whether they look a little silly.
I'm with you on the looks of it...but I think they might have a better reason for it than most people who make these kinds of improvements.

A lot more than you think, especially up around 100. You can measure the aerodynamic effects in a wind tunnel down around 45.
