USDM vs JDM difference??

there is no answer to which is better. lets talk about Dseries. i got a D16z6 1.6L sohc vtec makes 127 flywheel horsepower, i also got a JDM D15b 1.5L sohc vtec and it makes 130hp. basically the same out of a smaller motor, why???? no emmisions in JAPAN, therefore they can run higher compression from the factory, and have higher octane fuel. on the other hand you have cost. USDM is definately better in this case, so which is better a few HP or a few $k, you decide.

Also, for us CA residents, JDM is a PIA because of smog referee issues...
