Just curious, whats required to change a crank sprocket?
Do you have to pull the motor?

Just curious, whats required to change a crank sprocket?
Do you have to pull the motor?
Moroso makes a special tool to hold the pulley. You then use a breaker bar and pop that sucker off there. If you are doing this on jack stands or with the car on the ground, I recommend you use upward force, as otherwise, you can knock the **** out of your hand into the ground...dont ask. (I am assuming you are referring to the crank pulley - if not, I have no idea what a crank sprocket is).

I've been told if you don't have that crank holder, you can remove the fly wheel dust cover/brace and stick a big fawking screw driver in there and lock up the flywheel then break the bolt lose. Personaly I'd rather have the right tool.

Not sure. Whatever it is would cause a sensor to say the crank isn't spinning at the right rate? I'll get the error code when I get home.
