Default ITR + JRSC. Should I lower compression?

I am at the a place to replace the head gasket.
For performance has anyone seen any benefit to lower compression?

I am looking for facts, not theories.

I know that boost likes less compression, but considering how picky the ITR motor is with a JRSC I don't want to do something that would hurt instead or make things better.

Thank you

the only benefit in lower compression is a safety benefit.

your gonna loose power at the same boost level with low compression vs. high compression but you will have a safer longer lasting engine since it will not be so "picky" on the tuning and the fuel you run.

i would lower it......10:1 would be a good compression to use for boost.

You can also make more power on pump gas by lowering the compression.

On a turbo car lowering the compression will make tuning more boost easier. On a SC car your limited , why would you lower the compression when it's only 10.6.

Take a look in this months Honda-tuning, Matt from Hondata shows you a stock type R will make good power. ( With one of our intercoolers,,, )
