What is this and is it needed?!
Ive got a 98 Civic Coupe(2dr) and i took the backseats out and im working on stripping out the interior, and i cam across this.. theres one on each side and im wondering if its needed or can i take it off with no worries?

I removed them from my ek and the car started to creek and make noises after 2 days so I put them back in. Learn from my experience, and leave them in, Honda put them in for a reason.

No it wont. Those bars set up a little triangulation point right there, and unless you put in a cage, no bolt in monkey bars on the market will be able to replace those.
