Default 92-95 civic si tranny

hey does anyone know the transmission for a d16z6? i am buying a d16z6 motor from my freind and i want to get the stock tranny for it. thanks

The transmission code is S20. Search is your friend

if you do a little more searcing you'll find that all 92-95 trannys are S20, but what your looking for is if it is A000 or B000. i dont really remember but i thik the B000 is the Si tranny

Yup he's absolutely correct. Dunno how I forgot the last bit. Mistabone on here has a webpage with all the info on D series trannies you could possibly want. I just don't remember the URL.

Yea you are right B000 is the ex/si tranny. I read that on here a while ago. I just never found out exactly where that is stamped. Anyone know where the stamp is?

the stamp is right by the fill plug, in a small circle.
