why not just wear the seatbelt it is there to protect you afterall. anyways the only ways I could think of to disable the seatbelt alarm would possibly kill you with the airbag system since the airbags are designed to alter how they fire off based on the driver and pasengers seating positions.

why do you need to remove you seatbelt alarm?

It's only on when your not wearing your seatbelt read: you shouldn't be driving without your seatbelt on

You could unplug the wire going into the seatbelt, but you run the risk of disabling your airbag.

Or, just go to the junkyard and buy a seatbelt clasp by itself (the part that snaps into the buckle) and keep that in the buckle at all times.

Of course, wear your seatbelt where required to by law.

it's your funeral

no need to yell. It's like when people post up asking how to roll back the mileage because they've rebuilt the motor. People always say it's illegal and give the OP **** for it. It's no different when people ask how to disable the seatbelt warning. What else did you expect?

This guy that used to work at the building next door to my work was driving home from work one day and was t-boned. He supposedly didn't have his seatbelt on and was thrown from his car. He didn't live

Seatbelts are there for a reason, to help save lives. please use them

It's pretty ignorant of anyone that chooses not to wear a seatbelt. That car is designed to porotect you in an accident. That protection is only designed to work from the seats with the seatbelt on. Personally i'm happy that Honda put the reminder in there to go off every few seconds to bug the crap out of you until you decide to put it on. And no there is no way to disable it. If you unplug the buckle you will probably end up with an SRS light.
But still it's VERY ignorant to not wear a seatbelt. But on the other hand those who don't wear it are a dying breed...

no, I did as well. He probably just realized this post was going nowhere and wouldn't get the answer he wanted so he figured he would just drop it before it turned into a thread full of flaming.

Actually if anybody wants to see it I can send a video of what can happen if you are thrown from a vehicle. It's pretty ugly but no gore is shown.
(The person is seen being thrown from the vehicle.) PM me and I'll send it out tomorrow.

I've thought about disabling the aggravating beeper too. Not because I don't want to wear the seat-belt, but because when I want to sit in the car for a minute and listen to the radio with the door open. I figured the best way to disable it would be to find the beeper itself, and disconnect it. That way everything else should work like it's supposed to, except for the annoying beeper.

If it wasn't integrated to another unit it would be possible. But i'm prertty sure it's in the fuse box or in the main multiplex.

It's just an aggravation. My brother and I go play tennis (Friday nights) and when we take a break we like to sit in the car, listen to the radio, and cool off. But I have to either close the door, or listen to that infernal racket.

I just thought that was powering up more stuff, when all I want on is the radio. I might try to look the beeper up in the Helm manual, and see what is involved. Thanks for the input though.

It doesn't hurt anything to leave it in "on" for a few hours. Heck you can let it go till the battery dies if you want.
But your buzzer is in the gauge control module.

I remember the old GM cars had the switch button, you could hold your foot on it or just tape it in and the beep would stop. I haven't seen one on my 03 Accord though. I guess that wouldn't be easily accessible either. I guess I do one of three things: Sit in silence. Close the door. Or turn everything on, and kill the battery.
