Does Spoon rims have 15x7?
I have a friend just bought a set of SPOON rims 15", offset 45, 4x114.3. My friend change the 96spec TypeR suspension that is why he need 4x114.3 on his EK. When he order from website it said is 15x6.5, but when they arrived yesterday is 15x7. I have 2 set of SPOON rims 6years ago one is 4x100 and the other is 5x114.3 both are 15x6.5 too........ but I m sure that the weight and material of my friend's 15x7 are real...... So, do anyone here know are SPOON rims really have 15x7 long time ago? Thanks!
The 15" Spoons were only offered in 6.5.
Regamasters were available in 15x7.0 width. Could it be he has a set of Regas which are refinished?
Are there stickers on the inside of the rims? Any stampings in the hub area?

thanks for the replies......... that is what I think too, I never know there is 15x7 for 15" SPOON rims. But there is real stickers inside just like the same as mine before, also it has " made in Russia " and " 15x7 " stamped on the centre hub too......... it doesnt looks like the refinish to me, I can feel the material of the rims are real SPOON....... but so weird to me.....

Well being that it says " Made In Russia " thats a good sign. Now just go look for the
DESMOND sticker...... Take some pics if ya can. That'll determine the authenticity for sure...

yes there is DESMOND sticker there.......but I really want to know why there is 15x7, before my 2 sets of SPOON rims are 6.5" and I search around that there is no 7" for 15" SPOON. That is really the first time I ever heard about it. I want to take some pictures, but I dont know how to post ..........anyways thank you so much for your help!

That is not the point of measuring, what happen now is the rims really STAMPED "15x7", and the 2 sets of SPOON rims I had before are stamped "15x6.5".......... because SPOON never has a spec of 15x7 for ppls to choose only 6.5" for 15", that is why I feel so weird now.
Measure the actual bead to bead, not lip to lip (thats incorrect and you'll get wrong readings). And often times the stamp doesnt mean ****, my 5x114 15x7 volks are stamped wrong as well (the sticker is correct though), and I've had other 5x114.3 wheels that were stamped (in the casting) as 5x100 and other incorrect stampings.
If you want to know for sure measure the actual width.

cool i was just about to say they do have them in 15x7, but were sold through the regamaster evo name that came with a yellow evo stick on the front. and were mostly sold in japan unless you had a distributor.
another way to tell if its real is look at the inside where the tire goes, you should see ridges on both sides all around the the inside of the rim. looks real to me.
also judging from your backing of the rim these are the first run versions. the newer version spoons have carving circular marks on the back, sorry no photos of that.

Spoon said that they've never made 15x7 wheels, nor will they ever make 15x7 wheels. I inquired about this a few months ago out of curiousity.
Those wheels look like Desmond Regamasters with a Spoon like finish. Technically, they're not "Spoons", but what difference does it make?

Interesting.
Desmond is the co that made all of the rims:
Monster Sport (gold) = Regamaster Evos (white, silver, gray) = SW388 (Flat Black)
Regardless, nice find!!!

Perhaps 15x7 was available in the 4x114.3 pattern only?

my 15" 4x114.3 sw388's has a error on its stamping as well on its Desmond sticker. one of them is stamped 4x100 when it really is a 4x114.3 bolt pattern
