agreed, everyone seems to say that the DMH ecut is one of the better ones. i would say that atp had a good idea, but it's better to have an ecut so u can open it up when u want to.

like they said go with a DMH unit instead of the ATP. but definately get a cutout, and do something like a stock exhaust back.

if i could redo my exhaust i would definately go with a cutout and stock exhaust back instead of my full 3" exhaust. with the money i spent on the piping and muffler i couldve just gotten the cutout and saved some money.

stock exhaust while daily commuting, and in the flip of a switch you have a mean sounding exhaust which is gonna help increase power output aswell as spool time.

definately go with the dmh. im runnin the dmh 3" cutout and stock exhaust . my car is quiet as can be around town, and sounds mean as hell when i open the cutout up. also, the y pipe with the dmh is much better for flow than the pipe that the atp comes with

the cutout right from dmh comes with the ypipe, and everything else you need (gasket, hardware, wiring). 199 shipped when i got mine. you just have to weld the ypipe into your current downpipe and bolt the cutout on, thats it

i bought a DMH cutout like 3 years ago for my turbo 99sI, it was great, there were a couple flaws but dave corrected them and each time sent me a brand new one.

he was correct, he has hte only cutout, that seals up all the way.

also, the turbo actuated cutout would only open at a preset boost, thus not really giving you what you wanted which was bottom end open exhaust. with that you have to make boost to open it, and by then i would think it has defeated its purpose, by being to late in opening
