Default lowering questions

hi guys would like to lower my car this summer
i want to stick to springs.
but i should probably change my shocks while im at it.

i want a tight setup and will be running stock gsr rims and 205/15/15s
but what is a good a shock and spring package for the money that fits the car nice and will not make any problems
thanks for your thoughts

it's a good idea to change out the shocks to some kind of sport shocks when lowering your car. i've got koni yellow on neuspeed race, and i think they work well together. haven't had a problem at all.

Do u need an adapter for the nuespeed springs with koni yellows, cause i know u need one for GC coilovers w/ koni yellows?

How much did this set up run u?
Is it adjustable?
Do u use a camber kit?

thanks!

i didn't need any adapter for my springs to work with the koni yellows. i do not know about gc coilovers, so i won't comment on those. the setup ran me $500; i got the springs for free. the koni's have 3 perch settings for the front and rear, ~20mm adjustment. they are also adjustable for dampening. i've had tokico blue (non-adjustable) and didn't like the ride they gave with my race springs. i have a progress camber kit.

Not the Tokico Blues, but the Tokico Illuminas are adjustable.

I think Tokico Blues are good for Ground Controls.
Hardly. You need a shock that can handle the reduced ride height and increased spring rate. My friend has Blues and Neuspeed Race and it's pretty bad. You only need an adapter for the Konis when using GC coilovers, not when using springs. GC's are good, but I can only recommend you use them w/ Konis, because of the way they attach to the shock w/ the adapter. It's almost like having an actual threaded body shock.

NEUSPEED RACE all the way if you planning on rollin on stock rims. good drop and really nice ride that is stiff but comfortable. i would go with the koni yellow bc they are agressivly valved. but i had NEUSPEED RACE on my LS and i loved it. PERFECT!!!
