Default lost low-end power?

Ok here's my question, What would be some likely reasons for loss of low end power? I've got a 94 prelude vtec, and burned out my clutch and flywheel w/ nitrous so i had to swap in a new stage ll clutch and a new lightened chromoly flywheel. Also I had to replace the down pipe on the header (i have the greddy stainless steel 4.2.1), So i just bought a cheap knock off brand new header and used the down-pipe from that w/ the Greddy top (fits fine and no gaps or leaks). But it seemed like after I got everything back together and running again I had lost some low-end power, or atleast it didn't pull as hard as i had remembered. What could be some reasons for this? What can i modify to increase low end power? After i get into vtec it's no prob, but from like 2g-5g it feels worthless. These are the things i have done, i/h/e,test pipe, chipped ecu, f.p.r., plugs and wires, stage ll clutch and chromoly 12lbs lightened flywheel,

I'm also wondering if it might be due to my new system, I got a 12'' Alpine Type X sub in a slot ported box (kinda heavy i'd say 50lbs or so) and obviously added weight slows it down, but it doesn't seem like it would make that big of a deal, before i had it, i was much faster w/ another person in the car (atleast 150lbs or more) and even at that i had some good ups low end.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Richard

ps. Like i mentioned i've got a 94 and it only has 65,8xx original miles on it, I know most hondas have a scheduled 70 or 75,000 mile tune up, and i was wondering if my car might need this crucial tuneup and check since it's getting close? The car hasn't been worked on by my local Honda shop for years now, i do most the work myself that i can, and they have problems getting my car on the lift, it's a lil too low. Could this be a reason for power loss?

Yeah. A tuneup would help.
You have to downshift. My car is the same way though. Its killer up top - but if i'm low in gear, i can't just step on the gas and expect it to fly. Gota downshift. Its fine when launching from first.

Make sure you get some pretty good spark plugs and wires when you do your tune up. I'm about to look into the msd systems, do a little researching. I hear they crap out a lot.

You should have tried to compare both downpipes to see if they differed, but if it was damaged you may not be able to. Another thing would be amount of nitrous you were using, that could have effed some stuff up. And that heavy *** system, so it all probably adds up.

how much juice is that sub pulling (or how much is your whole system using)? if your alternator/battery cant handle the load you can definitely lose power.

That sub can handle a lot. It must sound great also in the prelude. I think the type x can handle 3000 watts. So lets assume he's atleast getting 13volts - thats 230A!!! IF he's pushing 3000 watts to it.

Lets say he's doing like 1000 or so. thats 76A. I think our alternators are only 105. So still, he's pushing it. That only leaves the car with ~24 A to run the car and accessories.

I was only running a 50 shot, and i have bumped my fuel pressure up from 34psi(stock) to 48psi so i could run a 75 shot if i really wanted to. got horrible gas milage for that period of time, but it was fun!

as for the type x, i don't have anything nice now, i'm lookin for a nice PG Ti 800.1 or 1000.1or2 amp. now when i get one of those, that will really bump! prolly shatter my windows or sumthin.

I'll check on my spark pllugs and wires too, i know they've been on there some time now, just not drivin too often.

thanks for all your help, if you can think of anything else let me know!
o yea, do they make direct bolt on kits for our cars to up grade the altenator? if so how much are they?
