i got a auto power roll cage and i'm pretty satisfied with it. before i decided on purchasing the cage, i decided to fully gut out the back half of my 2 door dc2. i'm not sure how it'll be with the interior still in tack. i suggest if ur going for a full race look, you really have to be committed in making the inside look like a race car. avoid the big head ache!

i really dont want the full race look, im actually planning on doing some racing with speedventures.com but i would still like to maintain the daily driver comfort. how much of the interior is necessary to remove. is it just the back seat or did you have to rip out the side panels. i really dont mind losing the seat that just saves me from driving when people want to go somewhere.

well if you put a roll bar in there you don't want to take passengers anyway (potentially killing them in an accident) so you might as well take out the rear seats. my friend ryan used to have a bolt-in bar in his type-R and he did have to cut the plastic to keep the interior in there since it connects (or is supposed to connect) to the rear upper strut mounting area.

Don't get a full cage unless it is an all-out race car.

well i took out everything in the back half of the car, to the bare metal. you'll be suprised how much lighter ur car will be! i guess you could just take out the seats and just have the panels customized a little (cut holes). keep in mind that you still have to bolt or weld the bars down to the car, i have know idea how to do that with holes big enough for just the piping.
