Default Viper alarm question....690XV and 791XV????

I have a Viper responder alarm system - 690XV. I wired it all up to my car and I know it might sound a little stupid but I got the remote cover painted the same color as my car. The 690XV is a paging alarm system with no auto start. The 791XV system has auto start as well as a turbo timer. I was wanting to upgrade my system to a 791XV but I was wondering if both systems used the same brain or are they totally different, because I don't really want to have to rewire my whole system? Could I used my remote from the 690XV on the 791XV system because they look like there different remotes but it seems like they do the same things, because my remote can show when my car is started. The reason I want the 791XV instead of the 690XV is because I am turboin my car in summer and I will most likely be needing a turbo timer anyways and I wouldn't mind having command start also. Thanks!
