Default apex'i n1... to buy or not to buy because of scraping issues

i know that the n1 goes underneath the rear LCA. it has a nice angle but i'm worried about it scraping everywhere. Will i eventually put a hole in the exhaust? Do they have a version that doesn't go underneath the rear lca? and if so, any pics?

Do you have the option of just buying the muffler (i think around $180) and then getting some piping made for you? This may be the way to go if you do not want the angled look and have the pipinig run the same way the stock is at the moment. I have seen a pic of this done on a hatch somewhere on the board. It was probably about a month ago.

i like the angled look i'm just not sure how big of an issue it would be with scraping and such. Like if it could eventually wear a hole in the piping

All it takes is a couple of speed bumps that you didn't see, especially if you have lowered your car.

lol. If you can't see speed bumps you shouldn't drive a lowered car.

so if i go over speed bumps slow enough it'll be fine? It seems like it could still get dented

It only hangs under the LCA on the HB. All others go above the LCA.

i have a del sol and the del sol is sorta the bastard child of the honda family. We have to modify everything to fit since nothing is made for it. So i have to go with a 92-95 hatchback exhaust and then cut the b-pipe like an inch.

i would prefer to go with the angled one if i could, i just wonder how it could affect performance after awhile. i don't want to get it then one month later have a hole in it. I don't mind the scraping sound, just so long as it doesn't mess it up too much. Will it get messed up?

It really depends if your car is lowered. Stock height it isnt a problem. My car is lowered about 2.5" and some speed bumps it will scrape no matter how you go over them. Especially the long ones. But so far none have dented it or anything its just a little scratched up on the bottom.
