Spark Plug Wires and Plugs
I am thinking of upgrading my spark plug wires and plugs on my 99 integra gs. I am hearing alot about the Nology Wires, but find them to be a little on the expensive side. Any suggetions on spark plug wires and plugs to purchase.
Over on the ITR forum, a few months ago, they had a dyno of different wires.
Guess what? OEM wires did the best.
Unless you get a better ignition system, stock is the way to go.
NGK copper plugs are also considered to be very good.
My suggestion is that you change plugs, not wires, unless the OEM ones are bad.

I agree with that, I have stock wires and NGK wires.... I have heard stock ones are the best, and a set of NGK's cost about $50 so you should probably stick with your stock wiring but buy the plugs, they do not cost much, probably like $1.99 a piece for copper. Good luck

Thanks for all of your inputs. What about Denso Iridium Spark plugs?? I also hear that they are the way to go...... ????

If you don't want to change copper plugs every 20-30K miles, yes. But is it worth it? You could drive the wheels off your car before you invested the same money in copper plugs as in one set of iridium (and you'll need more than one).
Actually, Bosch platinums do okay as well, from a few dynos I've seen, #4227 I believe, is the part # (don't quote me).
Spark plugs, plug wires, ignition systems aren't going to do much for you w/o a lot of mods. Better to keep the OEM system running right than change all these parts.
Rotor, cap etc. need to be checked and replaced every so often (~30K miles) for best results. Great plugs, wires etc. won't amount to much if they aren't getting proper current.
