Default Starting over on wiring

I have been trying to solve a hesitation problem on my OBD-0 Civic Si B16 swap. I purchased the car after the swap was done, so I am trying to pick up the pieces here. I have swapped the sensor wires hoping to solve the problem....no change.

The wiring was not done well, and I think that is the source of my problem. The 02 sensors are not wired properly, and I don't think I will ever determine what the previous owner did. I see multiple splices that don't seem to make sense.

I am considering starting with a virgin harness and doing the wiring myself......the right way. How big of a job is this going to be? What harnesses will work with my car lengthwise and plug wise?

you need the engine harness for your year and model car - the Si harness will plug right into everything on the B16A - you just need to add wiring for 2nd O2, VTEC and knocksensor

Will the engine harness include the 3 molex plugs for the ECU? I need to replace everything.

I used my 90' si harness with my swap. The only wires that had to be run to the ECU were the pressure sensor, vtec solenoid, 2nd o2 and knock sensor (you also have to ground the vtec). You can use the old pins in the ecu plugs to put the new wires in. I had to extend the alternator wires as well. The plugs that go into your ECU under the dash will not be removed when you rewire the engine. The harness under the dash is separate from the engine harness. Work slowly and good luck. I had my IACV wires backwards and it was a huge pain in the ***.

It's a 1990 Civic Si.

I managed to find an engine harness today. Now I am looking for the interior harness, so I can completely replace the damaged existing wiring.
