Default Aftermarket Exhaust questions..

When i bought my 89 hatch, it came with no cat...So my exhaust pipe is bolted right up to my exhaust manifold.. Im running a DOHC ZC and i know they use d-series parts so.. im looking for a high flow cat and aftermarket exhaust (Greddy sp2), so..my questions are: do i order the cat for an 88-91? 92-95? or does it not matter? i know i have to order the exhaust for my car (88-91) but it should bolt up to any d-series cat right? just need some clarification..Thanks..

Well your stuck in a dilema, if your running a stock header, then your stock 88-91 cat should work just fine. The cat for the 88-91 and 92-95 are the same lenght I believe, so either should work. I know most cats for hondas are either 14" 16.75, or 18" for the type-r. So I would say go with the stock 88-91, becuase you buying an exhaust that's ment to fit the your stock cat/header set-up.

Or just buy your cat-back exhaust first and do the measurements for the cat. You could also use a univeral cat.

Use a 88-91, and the Magnaflow OEMs CATs are good... they flow better than OEM, and will actually do something for emissions.
