Default Drag radial tires

Are 225/50/15s too big for 170hp ls/vtec? will it be too hard for the tranny? can it cause too much drag?

Depending on what Tranny you are using the only thing I'd be worried about is falling out of the Power band. If using a B16/ITR trans you should be fine. If using the GSR or LS trans, I'd go w/ the 205/50's.
