Why does my front bumper cover not fit right?
96 LS Coupe, I purchased it 2 weeks ago. I thought maybe it was just out of alignment, but I have been reading that it may just be a bumper cover from the wrong year\or body. Hopefully the pics below will help you to help me figure it out. This car was not in an accident, I beleive the car may have had a body kit at one point.
Hood gap, roughly 1/8-1/4"

Headlight gap-

Side shot of bumper-

Side gaps-

Hopefully this is enough info to get an answer.
Thanks.

I see that alot on the DC tegs, but not quite that big of a gap, the bumper may have been removed at one time and not fully put on correctly with all the bolts?
First off that is the right bumper for that year. It looks like it was repainted. And it looks like it has been in a wreck. You could try taking it off and re-fitting it. And its possible that you have 98+ headlights that wouldnt fit right with that bumper but I think that your bumper is just sagging.
Ok so the bumper is correct, but the headlights could be wrong? Is there anyway to check them? stamping or something?
Geuss I will pull it off this weekend and try adjusting it.
EDIT: I did check and there is no aparrent damage to the radiator support, and all the upper hardware thats holds the bumper on is accounted for.

The headlights and bumper are both correct for a 94-97. And since it was taken off prior the body kit it's not going to go back perfectly back the way it was. And there could have been a little damage but not much that could make all those gaps. Mine looks similar. I think the hood gap is like that for a lot of integras.

Its the same thing my car has. When my car was involved in a minor rear ending, my front bumper cover folded slightly and needed to be replaced. When the cover was replaced, it was replaced with an oem REPLICA instead of the real deal. These replicas are sometimes bang on the money for fitment and sometimes leave horrendous gaps. Mine for instance left gaps near the fender well and also for the hood.

Thats the gap that mine has. Your best bet is to take the front bumper off, remove the cover from the rebar and foaming, and look for a genuine Honda stamp, or see if theres any part numbers or anything inside. With pulling and pushing and whatnot, you can lessen the gaps but IMO, they can never fit like stock. If you want to totally rid your problem, source either a brand new bumper cover (quite expensive) or you can check your local junk yards/car lots and see if anybody will give you a front bumper cover and than just get it resprayed to match your cars colour.
I hope this helps. If you have any other Q's, email me at stefan_leal@hotmail.com as I dont regular all ends of this forum.

I dunno im thinking that all the bolts prob wasnt installed correctly because those integ 94 and up bumperes will fit f****d up if you do not completely anlign it with the brackets and the bolts in the right place

then again it does look like u have a 98 headlight on one side if I am not mistaking , Ithink that u should take the bumper off and look at the headlights if they angle in and the head lights are bigger than the 94s then thats ur prob wrong headlights other than that i dunno

Wrong. They are both 94-97's they just dont flush w/ the rest of the bumper.
