ok so i read on here that the front bumper for the coupe and hatch are the same and can interchange. well today i got a coupe bumper and bumper cover for my eh2 and tested this out.

i found out that the bumper cover will fit, and the bumper will fit, but they wont work together.

i cant get teh bumper cover holes to line up with the bumper installed, so i just installed the bumper cover without the front bumper for now.

can anyone explain this?

also, i have a SI rear bumper with the EH2 bumper absorber (the foam piece), the si rear bumper wont fit with the bumper absorber but will fit if i take it off.

can anyone explain that one?

car has never been wrecked, just had a shitty body kit on it

that doesn't make any sense. the front on a coupe/hatch are the same. everything from the door up are interchangable. as for the foam piece, it should not make a differents. they didn't do anything different between the back bumper (si,dx,cx, and vx) or the foam piece.

thats what i thought

but for some reason the bumper will not fit with that foam piece

and the front cover wont fit with the bumper behind it.

they are both off by about 3/4 inch or so, i have to force them and then the edges wont line up.
