I'm rubbing help..

This is what its doing to my tires...

I do car pool with a pretty large man...Could that be the reason?
I'm running on 18's Work Meisters. Offset for the s2k.
Its lowered on tein s-tech. Anyone know the problem?..
Any suggestions or helpful comments is good.
edit. IS the fender fixable? Its just bent..

Thanks..

The first thing I would do is learn to use focus....
You are running 225/40-18, that is the appropriate size for an s2000 (only 1.9% bigger). I don't know why you are rubbing. Rubbing normally doesn't bend out the fender in a small spot lije that. Very odd. Is it only on one side?

hehehe i do need to focus sorry. Its only on one side..
The right side only. This is brand new rubber too.. Should i just put back stocks and live like that or what?.. I love these wheels and they're not suppose to do this..Could my car pool be the problem?

You could try just bending that tab back inwards, becareful not to crack the paint. I would only say to roll your fenders if it was happenning on both sides. I really don't know.
Yeah i thinking im going back to stock if i dont find a cure.. The whole rubber mallet thing sounds scary.. I'm going to try to bend it by hand in the mourning.. I just don't understand why it's happening.. I know other people with the same set-up that don't rub.. I guess not every car is that same. Damn this sucks. More suggestions on how to bend the fender please.
thanks.
Thanks.

the answer to why he's rubbing is quite simple... it's the offsets of the front wheels.... they are differnt then oem's... they are pushed further out.. in return reducing clearance.....
you are also incorrect on the tires.....
if he has an ap1.. the front tires were 205's..
if he has an ap2.. the front tires were 215's..
so also in return he's running wider tires up front + a lower offset + he's dropped (only 1 inch with tein's) + he's got a fat person his in passenger seat (which will lower the car on that one side).. yes it might be very slight but it could be enough to make him rub on turns..... and all those added together = less clearance...

could of things can solve your problem...
1. run more camber
2. run a narrower tire up front.... 215's
3. roll your fenders
4. stop giving the fatty a ride.. lol

I bent my tab in as well. Get a pry bar and wrap it with something soft. Slowly push it in. Remember to take the clip out before doing so.
The only other way is to get coilovers and run near stiffest settings.

I didn't realize that he was running the improper offset. In most cars if you stick to within 3% of the diameter and 20mm of the width you will not rub.

Well I have brand spanking new tires. I just bought them last month. Im going to bend the tab back. I don't know how.. I tried to bend with a soft shirt and my pure muscle..But its harder than i thought. It did bend a little bit. Bit very minimal improvement. Any other suggestion on bending metal!?
since you got new tires and i know you dont want to spend another amount of money to remove and install new tire.my suggestio is just try to roll those fender up and change the camber.i know it will cause uneven tire ware. but i think thats the easiest i could think off if i were in your situation.
how did you lower your car? perhaps you have the wrong spring rate in the front and it's allowing for more travel, riding more soft. and givin the extra load you have with your buddy, i think that may be a problem. in the pic, it doesn't look like your tires are so close that it should rub so easily. just an idea...
When somone is in the car it gets lower. My friend was inside about 97lbs and it was lower than how it useally sits. So i would imagine if a 200+ person PLUS me sat in it it would be lower. I still need tips on bending the metal back. Im'tring rigth now with my fingers and its not working very well..My grandfather use to do body work, so im going to ask him to let me borrow his rubber mallet..

and im going to be very careful with it..I iwsh i oculd figure out a better way to handle it..
