Oil inlarge amounts the Intake! PCV works fine
so i take off my intake on my motor today to change the shiftcables and TADA! alll this oil comes pouring out of my intake. 1st things first i checked my pcv valve and it rattles and is nice and clean...i got my motor in like almot a month ago now and it previously had been sitting, it is only supposed to have 35k on it cause hte guy had it in a civic and never drove it anyways i was wondering whats up with this. i searched and i see where some people posted it's normal for h-series to be doing this, but my last motor never had a drop. here are some pics
a lil trail in to the TB

here is the piece that clamps onto the TB

and here is is all the way down like 5 inches from the intake in the mid section right beside the battery(right)

It's normal to have some oil coming up through the valve cover, but that does look like a lot. Not sure if that's more than normal.
One option - Put a breather on the line from the valve cover and plug where it connects to the intake.
BTW, a better way to test your pcv is to have the car on and pinch the pcv hose to cut off the vacuum. Then you should hear a click.

if you just put a used motor in the oil rings could be stuck. They can however free up. not garunteed but may.
try running 4 qt of 0-30 synthetic and 1 qt of marvel mystry oil for a month. yes you will burn oill quick but you are using the detergents to attempt to free up a ring. Then beat the hell out of the motor, I really mean beat the hell out of it. Let the engine do a lot of high rpm braking also. (off throttle). Be sure to keep an eye on your oil level and keep it full.
then drain and refill with 10-30. If the ring, or rings are going to free up this is about your only resort next to re-ringing.
good luck

another way to free up stuck rings is to remove all the spark plugs and put a healthy squirt of marvel mystery oil in each cylinder and let it sit at least overnight. the next day, put a rag over the spark plug openings in the valve cover and blip the starter a few times to disperse the oil and prevent a potential hydrolock when you go to start it with the plugs in. replace plugs and wires and go.

Your ring lands are cracked on your pistons, your getting blow by that is pushing oil into the intake tube Via the hose that attaches your valve cover to the intake tube..
You need a rebuild/new engine..
You need a rebuild/new engine..
Here is what I would try.
1.) Replace PCV valve as they are cheap.
2.) Take valve cover off and clean it out by soaking it with carb cleaner to remove any build up within the inner splash shield.
3.) Plug off where the red hose plugs into the intake piping and use a crank case filter on the vavle cover.
If you are still getting a lot of oil blowing out of the crank case filter compression test the engine, if there are any really low readings you may want to consider a rebuild. Another way to check to see if your rings are bad is to drive the car for 10 to 15 minutes, turn engine off, and pull the engine oil dip stick. If the are any signs of foam around where the actual oil level is you may have blow by from the rings. Hope this helps!
