My quest begins (AP2 S2000 cluster in EJ1)
So after lots of thought, i've decided to persue my favorite cluster....only the newer version. I love the cluster in my s2000, but dont like the 9k redline... mainly because the engine in my coupe only revs to 8500.
So after a lot of searching I finally found a 2005 S2000 cluster and plugs.

I did a lot of research and know that there are a few things that still dont work on the cluster no matter what (RPM and TEMP when working with a b-series engine). I know the k-series will allow the cluster to work but since I dont have one, I had to consider other options.

So i've got a spare EG dashboard and bezel so I can test fit it and build the proper bracket. I'm also going to build a custom bezel to match perfectly.

I have the pinouts for the cluster and the plugs are on the way as well. I bought a cheap auto civic cluster that had a tach that i'm going to rip apart to make a conversion harness so I dont have to splice into my dash harness.
I'll keep you guys posted in my progress.

I'm pretty sure everything will come out working. I'm working with someone right now trying to get the speedo signal properly converted. I'm going to try to get it powered up tonight (i have a 12v power supply here with me). Maybe i'll have another picture to show. Now that I have the cluster, i'm ready to roll full speed on this project.

Success! Two pins require power (one to light the gauge, and one to display it) and two grounds.

one with it off, one with it initializing, and one with it on and ready. Sorry about the awkward shots, I had the camera in one hand, the wires in the other, and my cellphone on my shoulder as I was relaying my success to my girlfriend, who is as excited as i am! :-D MORE TO COME!
