Ok, here is the deal. ITRs also have transmissions so by association this is ITR related

I just picked up an almost complete '95 LS swap. It came with the 95 LS transmission which is hydraulic. I want to use the transmission in my CRX. I have a '91 LS transmission but it has a good 180k miles on it and has no 5th gear syncro anymore. I want to use the 95 main shaft because I need to be able to use a 92+ integra clutch on it.

Here are the 2 options:

1) Fabricate a cable-to-hydro adapter and use the transmission the way it is (this will not let me use the HCP front engine mount, though).

2) Swap the internals from the 95 transmission into the 91 housing. Then I can use the cable AND use the front mount.

How plausible is option #2 ? I honestly have never cracked a transmission open.

No those are for using a cable(tranny) in a hydro(car). I want to do the opposite.

I would prefer to swap the housings, if possible.

 

yes you can do that. We did it last week...took the main shaft out of a 94 gsr tranny and put it in the ls casing. Works good.
