some questions after b18c swap.
ok after i swapped the b18c1 motor into my 96 civic i ran it for the first time hard(speedo wasnt working). Afterwards i checked the hoses to and from the radiator by squeezing them and didnt feel any coolant in them. I felt the motor and it was pretty hot then i touched the radiator and it felt COLD as if no coolant had passed through(coolant was filled up prior to starting car). i then open up the radiator cap and it is full but it doesnt seem to be going into the block. Also when i filled up the tranny fluid with gm syncromesh a little piece came off with the VSS and fell on the ground and was put back into place hoping that it was fine. DOes my Vss need to be replaced?
My conclusions on these two issues: Waterpump needs to be replaced and as for the VSS maybe i stuck the little piece that fell out in the wrong way or its busted and needs to be replaced.
Any suggestions or ideas?

does the coolant flow when you haev the car on? are you sure you dont have any coolant lines swapped with vac lines / vice versa? Also, might want to check your thermostat, might be stuck closed.
the only coolant lines that i connected were the ones to and from the radiator and from the heater to the block 4 total. yeah thermostat might be stuck or not working cause the radiator fan doesnt come on when the engine was hot.
