Default Car died on highway please help

All right guys my 91 Si hatch suddenly died today while on the highway. It cranks but it wont start. Main relay is new, distributor, cap and rotor have been replaced 2 months ago with a rebuilt unit from autozone. Anybody have any ideas? I am guessing that the fuel pump is bad but then again I've never heard of it going bad on hondas. The car is in Jaksonville my girlfriend was driving it when this happened (today in the morning) so I cannot check what the f%$# is going on (I am in Tallahassee).I had her check for spark and the dizzy seems to be fine.

I do not want to have her take it to a shop since it will be expensive. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check for fuel. I've seen em go bad before. Others can vouch for this.

So you are saying that the dizzy produced spark but it would not reach the plugs?

Autozone Dizzy's are known to be POS's, I'm sad to report. I've read this time, and time again. They just do not work well. You can either repair your original or go to the pick and pull and find one that way.

SO it is possible to have spark from the dizzy but not strong enough
is that what you are suggesting?

check the rotor in the dizzy. The little screw comes out..and when it does...the cars sputters and puts til it eventually stops completely. Happened to me on valentines day and happened to my homeys crx all the time. Btw if that is ur prob put locktite on the screw before u put it back. Good luck. I am 90% sure this is probably the case.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. It all came down to the timing belt. The shop says the timing is way off and that the belt has too much slack. It is very weird since it was replaced about a year ago in a shop and the car ran fine the entire time. I would like to know if you guys have any experience with this matter.

Thanks
