2000 Accord for Sale - Fix or Parts Car!
I'm gonna be selling a 2000 Acccord (V6 - 4Dr - Leather - 95k - Snrf - Yadayada) as soon as it gets back from the Honda Dealership (in about a week) and I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested.
It's my parents car and they just don't want to deal with it so they left it up to me to fix or get rid of. Basically, my dad went to start the car to go to work, he heard a strange noise, and then the car wouldn't start anymore. He had it towed to the Honda Dealership to have them look at it and I think they said that the timing belt broke so the engine needs to be replaced (I'm going to find out exaclty what needs to be done to have it fixed).
My folks don't really want to bother with it since they have 2 other cars and they just want to sell the damn thing. The car has been in good hands since they bought it. It has been maintained as required in the honda manual, all servicing done at the delearship (with records), they are the original owners, non-smokers, no accidents, clean title, and all that good stuff. Oh, and the milage is around 95k (mostly freeway).
They are going to have it towed back to their house this week and I'll take some photos of it so anyone interested can see. They live in Renton Washington so if someone wants to drop by and check it out, that's always an option. It would definitely be a great parts car because everything is there, but I think fixing it would be more of an investment as there were never any problems with the car before. E-mail me if you are interested: owenw@veritycu.com.
